Ok, so I realize I'm totally a mom posting this. But there has been MAJOR progress in our household. As most of you know, I've been potty training Punky and having quite a struggle with her. She just hasn't been interested in it much. Up until recently, she's still been in diapers. For about 2 weeks now, we've only been using diapers at night and naptime. So she's doing quite well. We still have an occasional accident, but I'm pleased with her progress.
So imagine my surprise when my 19 month old son comes into the bathroom and grabs his crotch. I asked him if he needed to go potty (I've been letting him sit on it sometimes when he shows interest.) and he said UMMM HMMM!!! So I put him on there. I got books to distract him and as we looked at them he got really still. The kid actually pooped in the potty. He TOLD ME he had to go and HE DID IT. I'm still in shock. I'm just so happy. He's not my little dum dum after all, HA! Just goes to prove what kids pick up on when you don't think they're listening or watching. As I've been potty training Punky, apparently Chicken's been secretly potty training, too. Can I get a WOOHOO?!?!?!?! Maybe he's more ready than I thought!
